Process simulation for trouble shooting sour water strippers in refining wastewater streams

The sour water stripper unit in the sulfur complex has the task of removing H₂S and ammonia from refinery waste water streams. During this spotlight, we explore how OLI’s Software tools can be used to assess problems and troubleshoot the unit when changes in configuration (new feeds streams) and waste water composition create the potential for increased corrosion, fouling and unplanned shutdowns.
