The course is designed for beginers and prospective OLI clients
The class is designed for participants with little or no flowsheeting experience using OLI. Intermediate level clients will also benefit with questions about specific techniques for formulating cases in OLI Flowsheet: ESP.

Workshop syllabus
Day 1
Introduction to Flowsheet
Water Softening and Neutralization Process Simulation Example
This exercise introduces the water analysis tool and the standard process units, Mixer, Separator, Neutralizer, Settler and Filter
Manipulators and Controller
This exercise introduces the controller objects that enable users to meet target specifications without requiring the user to manually adjust a concentration, flowrate, or conditions.
Flow Splitting and Reverse Osmosis Process Unit
This exercise introduces the flow splitter, the component splitter, the pump, and the reverse osmosis objects.
Day 2
Evaporation and Crystallization and solids handling
This exercise introduces the heat exchanger block and the entrainment feature of the separator.
Adding Recycle Streams
This exercise introduces recycles and tear streams.
Sour Water Stripper
This exercise introduces the distillation column and how to study the chemical composition of the gas and fluid phases flowing through the unit.
