Kristen Jenkins

Vice President of Sustainability Solutions

Role

Kristen joined the OLI team as the Vice President of Sustainability Solutions. As part of the Sales, Client Success & Support team, Kristen brings expertise in sustainability, including industrial water management, to help OLI customers solve problems and maximize their success using OLI products.

Accomplishments

Kristen joined OLI in 2021 and is leading OLI’s sustainability effort, and is involved in a variety of technical and consulting water projects.

Kristen is a chemical engineer specializing in water process evaluation, selection and simulation with almost 30 years of experience.

Prior to joining OLI, Kristen spent 24 years in engineering consulting with CH2M (now Jacobs) and GHD. Her career was focused on solving complex industrial water problems for clients.

Kristen is a nationally recognized expert in PFAS treatment, including development of a novel treatment processes while with GHD.

Kristen and presented and authored over 20 publications in national conferences including WEFTEC and IWC, and well as peer-reviewed journals including the Remediation Journal

Areas of Expertise

Kristen is a subject matter expert in metals precipitation, softening, and zero liquid discharge treatment processes with experience designing and simulating these processes

Kristen led implementation of OLI for industrial water while with CH2M (now Jacobs), which included the development of custom training, modeling approaches specific to industrial water, as well as model templates for common processes.
Kristen is an expert in the identification of viable processes for water treatment, evaluation of alternatives, and design of the selected process.

In addition to water related expertise, Kristen also has expertise in these Sustainability related areas: air emissions, waste minimization, pollution prevention, and carbon capture.

Kristen has industry expertise in industrial water in the mining, power, manufacturing and petrochemical areas.

Education & Awards

• BSChE degree from the University of Tennessee
• MSChE degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
• Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina
• Kristen holds a patent in continuous monitoring of selenium in industrial wastewater.
• Keynote speaker for the 2017 Georgia Association of Water Professionals Industrial Conference
