The Effects of Chemistry in Precipitation
RESOURCES

Jim explores Struvite + phosphate application using struvite as a method to recover phosphate from waste water. Phosphate ores are becoming scarce in the many parts of the world and fertilizers which rely on phosphate are also becoming scarce. Wastewater, especially from municipal systems, contain high levels of nitrogen and phosphate which are the effluents from bio-treatment ponds. This waste water can be reclaimed to produce struvite for fertilizer production.
