Beginning with aspenONE2006, access to this joint AspenTech and OLI has gotten easier. OLI now comes "standard" in the AspenTech products for both Aspen Plus and Aspen HYSYS. You only need to purchase the OLI Alliance Engine to be get access to the OLI property method.

Also beginning with aspenONE2006, Aspen Plus® OLI clients also have access to Aspen Plus® OLI: MSE, the link to OLI’s emerging mixed solvent electrolyte model.

Why OLI?
The wrong answer is worse than no answer at all! Electrolyte chemistry is particularly complex and challenging to understand and predict, especially for real industrial systems containing many components and operating over broad ranges of temperature, pressure, and concentration.

Simplified aqueous modeling and computational approaches using approximations are usually useless, or worse yet, dangerously misleading, when applied to real world applications.

OLI as a Property Method
Now it is possible to combine the rigor of OLI’s electrolyte approach with your preferred flowsheet simulation package. When you need an electrolyte model within your flowsheet simulator, OLI recommends one of our Alliance Partner products

By specifying OLI as a property package within any of our Alliance Partner products, you can accurately account for the electrolytes in your system. This technology uses the same OLI Engine found in OLI stand-alone products.

OLI Engine in UniSim Design®

OLI values our relationship with Honeywell. Honeywell's team of developers have worked hard to produce a best-in-class implementation of OLI within UniSim Design. This work includes access to the OLI MSE model.

Beginning with the UniSim™ Design release R360, UniSim will launch the OLI Corrosion Analyzer within the UniSim environment. The answer to the question “how corrosive is this stream for the material being used?” is one-click away.

Pro/II® Electrolytes OLI
with MSE 2nd Qtr, 2008

OLI values our relationship with SimSci-Esscor. SimSci was our first Alliance Partner in a relationship over 25 years old! Clients currently can use OLI simulation when they purchase Pro/II Electrolytes.

Beginning with the Pro/II release 2nd quarter 2008, SimSci Esscor clients will be able to include OLI's full databank and OLI's MSE model in their Pro/II package.
