Electrolyte Simulation Training
Electrolyte modeling basics (EMB)
This is a 2-day course designed for an individual who has little or no background in modeling electrolyte systems. The objectives are to provide an overview of speciation and aqueous thermodynamics, training in the use of OLI software to formulate and solve practical problems, and a facility for client feedback on current applications and issues.
The Stream Analyzer is used for the first day of the class, regardless of the particular OLI component that our clients will ultimately used. This is because the Stream Analyzer is the clearest and most direct interface to OLI's electrolyte thermodynamic framwork. The second day of the class is tailored to the interests of the participants. Process or corrosion technology may be studied in addition to the basic framework.

OLI ScaleChem Mechanics
This is a 1-day course that teaches the mechanics of using OLI's ScaleChem program. The objective is to explain ScaleChem's paradigm for problem solving and to familiarize clients with how to predict upstream production scale, using ScaleChem's input and results. Held periodically at OLI, or onsite at a client location upon request.

AQSim offers remote clients a chance to take the first day of Electrolyte Modeling Basics via 2, 3.5 hour sessions. Registration is by web seat and several colleagues can be trained at one location in one class. Homework between classes allows time to apply concepts learned in class.
Different course times accommodate different geographic areas of the world. 2010 schedule is in effect.

Chemistry in Brine Production
This is a 1- to 4-day course that covers the important areas of production chemistry encountered by engineers. The course length is variable. For a 1-day course, the lecture takes the majority of time. For longer course lengths, the balance of time is in supervised, application building. Clients are encouraged to bring their own applications.
This course was designed by AQSim, OLI's partner company in sales, training, and applications consulting, and is primarily given onsite at your company.
