Does OLI address your chemistry?
OLI's PUBLIC databank for the Aqueous (AQ) model option has coverage of 80 elements in the periodic table and several thousands of species.
OLI's MSEPUB databank for the Mixed Solvent Electrolyte (MSE) model is about 30% of the AQ model, with many priority systems completed.
For the AQ model and within this model's limits, it is likely that your particular chemistry already exists in the OLI databank. For the MSE model, it is possible that your chemistry already exists.
Extending the OLI databank
However, when your chemistry is not already in the OLI databank, you can get it there.
OLI has a team of 4 full-time thermophysical modelers whose mission is to extend and improve the OLI databanks. OLI contracts this team for priority additions to OLI's chemistry coverage.
OLI offers a 50% discount on this service when the resulting parameters can be included in OLI's PUBLIC or MSEPUB databank. OLI also offers a proprietary development service, provided our client provides proprietary data for the chemistry of interest.
Extending the OLI databank yourself
Clients can create private databanks that can override or extend OLI's public data.
However, knowledge of OLI's internal code infrastructure is necessary to perform data regressions to create new parameters.
OLI offers a 3-day training at OLI, MSE Regression, on demand. The class is $6,000 USD and may be scheduled at a mutually convenient time. |

OLI Service Credits
An OLI lease of the Analyzer Studio, ESP, or OLI Pro comes with service credits that can be applied to either OLI's thermophysical modeling service, or OLI's application building service.
As a client, if you need to model a particular chemistry that is not already covered in our extensive databanks, OLI can provide thermophysical modeling on a priority basis to cover the new chemistry. The service credits with your lease can be applied towards a partial payment of this work.
For the balance of the thermophysical modeling, OLI offers discounted professional service rates for thermophysical modeling, provided the resulting parameters are added to OLI's PUBLIC or MSEPUB databank.
OLI Validation Graphs
For many systems in the AQ model and for all systems in the MSE model, OLI has records of the data-fits between experimental and calculated data for the binary and ternary chemistry systems in the databank. Please contact OLI Technical Support to request a particular chemistry's validation graphs.
