OLI technologists undertake
specific research projects sponsored by government or industry.
Past research efforts include research for the USA DOE and the USA DOC. OLI has been engaged in
most projects with support from organizations such as the Gas Technology Institute
(GTI), the American Gas Association (AGA), Southwest Research Institute (SWRI),
Stanford Research Institute (SRI), Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories
(PNL), Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) and Los Alamos National Laboratories
(LANL) to name only a few.
In addition, our association with numerous universities
such as Rutgers and University of Toronto,
as well as our numerous industrial clients,
have resulted in successful research in fundamental science.
Projects have
included research in cesium removal from salt solutions by ion exchange, electromigration
in soil, corrosion in air conditioners which are subject to the latest generation
of working fluids, salt accumulation in membrane processes, corrosion under
disbonded coatings external to gas pipelines and many others.
