| Electrolyte Modeling Basics

The course is designed for an individual who has little or no
background in modeling electrolyte systems. The objectives are to provide: an overview of speciation and aqueous thermodynamics; training in the use of OLI software; a facility for client / instructor dialog on current application interests.
Day
1 This part of the course involves
of workshop exercises and class discussion,
which include these concepts:
- Speciation modeling of electrolyte chemistry;
- The mathematical modeling and interpretation of results;
- Basic building block calculations: Single Point, Survey, Mix, Separate
- Helgeson equation of state, the OLI
activity coefficient model
- Analyzer software mechanics
Day
2 Please note that on the second day, we
adjust the contents and the depth of subject matter covered to fit the
interests of the attendees. Possible content can include:
- Unit
operations in ESP Process
including controllers and recycle
- Real-solution stability diagrams and rates of corrosion calculations
- Dynamic simulation - when, why and how to use it
- Alliance product getting started guide (only startup mechanics covered)
- ScaleChem well profiles, facilities, safe ratios
- File management and advanced use tips
Several members of OLI's staff are available to work directly with course
attendees. Specialists, comprising ESP, Corrosion Analyzer, ScaleChem and OLI Analyzers
development team members, are also available for individual discussions.
Are you interested in attending? If so, please register now. Class size is limited to facilitate individual instruction. |
