o Delivering service through experts

These passions drive everything OLI tackles. OLI is proud to be a different kind of simulation company, dedicated to technology development and committed to customer service, tech support, and training.

OLI believe that no matter what your process problem is, you start by getting the chemistry right. This relentless pursuit of accurate chemical simulation has established OLI as an industry standard in electrolyte processing.

OLI never stops looking for new applications and simulation technology to leverage this powerful chemistry capability.

Summary

Marshall Rafal
Founder and CEO, Dr. Marshall Rafal

OLI software and technology has become the industry standard for simulation of electrolyte systems.

OLI has established an extensive CPI client base and reputation for excellence based upon our products and our technical support.

Serving the CPI and related industry for 38 years, OLI has specialized in complex electrolyte systems. OLI products are now used by hundreds of process engineers, industrial chemists, chemical process technologists, researchers, corrosion specialists, and process design engineers within chemical manufacturing and engineering service companies, and public and private research organizations in over 35 countries on 6 continents worldwide, including nearly all of the world’s 30 largest chemical and petroleum companies.

OLI's Mission

OLI’s mission is to bring unique, advanced software solutions to the CPI based upon state-of-the-art technological developments in the area of prediction of thermophysical properties and corrosion in electrolyte processes.

OLI Engine

In about 1990, OLI “cracked the code” when it comes to rigorous prediction of the chemical reaction and phase behavior of complex mixtures of chemicals in water under modest to extreme conditions of temperature, pressure, and ionic strength.

The combination of thermophysical properties models, solvers, and databank that enable this unique capability is known as the OLI Engine.

Since 1990, OLI has built on this technology base a family of simulation technology and software products, with applications covering chemical processes, electrochemical corrosion modeling, oilfield scaleprediction, water treatment, and environmental simulation.

Alliance Partner Products

The OLI Engine is also available through all of the major process flowsheet simulators currently in use worldwide, including Aspen Plus, UniSim Design, Aspen HYSYS, PROII, gPROMS, and IDEAS.

AQSim and SimTech

OLI relies on two sales and consulting partner companies, AQSim in NJ USA and SimTech in Japan, for providing business development, sales direction, marketing, training and assistance in technical support throughout the world.

R& D 100 Award

In 2007, OLI and SwRI were the recipients of the R&D 100 Award for the OLI Corrosion Analyzer. This award is given to the top 100 innovations in technology for a given year
